Welcome to the Enrollment and Registration page for Atlanta Public Schools. During normal operating hours, registration can be completed at the student's zoned school. To confirm your student's school attendance zone, view our APS School Zone Locator below.
Kindergarten Enrollment
Atlanta Public Schools families with children who will reach the age of 5 on or before September 1st are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten for the school year.
New Student Enrollment
New student enrollment should be completed whenever a student is entering Atlanta Public Schools for the first time or returning after being enrolled in another school outside of the APS district.
Student Transfers
Atlanta Public Schools allows families to transfer to an APS school using one of three transfer types: General Administrative Transfers, Children of APS Employees, Hardship Transfers.

How are school zones determined?
The official zone boundary for each elementary, middle, and high school is established by the Atlanta Board of Education.
